1. Holy See Marathon 2021
Time and date: 6:00 AM 5th August 2021
Location: 00120 Vatican City, Vatikanstaten
Distance: Marathon (26.2 miles/ 42,195 km.)
Description: The marathon will begin at Saint Peter’s Square and the cutoff time will be 7 hours.
Up to 22 runners will be allowed to register, but 15 numbers are reserved for person who wants to runs boats race ( Holy See and WOR San Marino Marathon).
Fee: 25 EUR or 40 EUR for both race (Holy See and WOR San Marino Marathon).

Please read all the marathon rules and expectations below.
Rules for both races:
- This marathon is not a club event
- Both low key marathons are limited to approximately 22 participants.
- The cutoff time will be 7 hours plus tolerance.
- You must carry a GPS or cell phone to document your time and distance.
- Before the start of the race, the race director will control that your GPS or cell phone is “0” (zero) before the start.
- We will run multiple laps around the park/next to the river with a check point after each lap.
- After you complete 26.2 miles/ 42,195 km. at the finish you must prove time.
- We have no permit, insurance, traffic control, or security.
- Refreshment is only water and Cola with some bananas.
- Everyone must bring their own drinking mug with your number or name.
- Carry some money in case you need to stop and buy some food or water.
- We will have a meeting at 6:00 pm (18:00) Wednesday 4th August in the lobby (Holy See).
- We will have a meeting at 6:00 pm (18:00) Friday 6th August in the lobby (San Marino).
- We will provide maps of the course and last minute instructions.
- The roads and the traffic in Rome are dangerous so pay close attention.
- The course in San Marino is a flat gravel track, and about 1 km long
- Average temperature ranges from a low of 15 gr. to a high of 40 gr.
- Sunrise occurs at 6:08 am. (Rome)
- Take care of the sun. Please use skin care and wear cap, sunglass etc.
- If you expect to run a fast marathon we suggest you do not enter this event.
- Places and times will be posted at the result list.
- The registration is personally and cannot be given to other and be don´t pay the entry fee back.
- Volunteers to help with the marathon will be appreciated.

We only organize the marathon run, so you have to book your own travel, accommodation, rented car, VISA and so on. Please take care for the Covid-19 situation, and we are not responsible for sudden restrictions by the authorities.
